There are certainly those that think otherwise, but make no mistake, the San Francisco 49'ers are Super Bowl bound. Get off of your couch, hoist yourself out of your armchair and get yourself some great gear featuring the San Francisco Armchair Quarterback.

NEW YORK JETS INSPIRED PILLOW AND MORE
Forget about Superstorm Sandy, the Jets were pummeled by the New England Patriots 49-19 in the Thanksgiving Day Debacle of 2012. The highlight reel from this instant classic features a perfect storm of turnovers and busted plays, the climax being a sequence where the PATS score 21 points in a mere 60 seconds. The Jets appeared to be powerless to stop Tom Brady and the onslaught. Talk about devastation...
If you haven't already, you can stick a fork in 'em, at 4-7 they're done. The picked over remains of your turkey are in the refrigerator, and much like the aspirations of the New York Jets; cold, dead and in the dark.
The fans are naturally upset, and naturally many are (and have been) calling for coach Rex Ryan's head. This was evident on the broadcast last night by the "X-REX" signs in the stands. The faithful followers of the New York Jets can take solace in this fundamental truth: Players and coaches come and go, but New York Armchair Quarterbacks remain. You can show your solidarity by purchasing a New York Armchair Quarterback product. There are tons of items to choose from.
Look, with Tim Tebow on the team there is hope Hope for the JETS is as it was in the beginning (1960), is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen

A PILLOW IN CASE THE PATS SLEEP ON THE JETS
The Thanksgiving Day offerings are as follows:
Considering my feeding schedule today, this food frenzied glutton will most likely forego the early game in favor of stuffing my pie hole. Rest assured, I'll either be on the couch or in the armchair for the RGIII vs Tony Romo show. Later, in an act of devout appreciation to our creator, I'll take a knee with Tebow and Company (with apologies to Mark Sanchez) as they battle the Pats. New York really has no chance in hell, but I'll be praying for a miraculous upset over the pompous T-Brady and cheatin' Belichick. That would be wickedly entertaining.
A word to the wise New England Armchair Quarterbacks, don't go to sleep on the J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS. You'll regret it in the morning.

GIANT PILLOW FOR ANYONE SLEEPING ON THE BENGALS
The New York Giants found out the hard way. You don't go to sleep on the AFC North in general, or the Cincinnati Bengals in particular. Actually, the reality is that the loss doesn't come as a huge surprise, given New York propensity for dropping games in November.

A PILLOW FOR THE UNDEFEATED FALCONS
Three words; “The Atlanta Falcons”. Read them again, nice and slow. The Atlanta Falcons… Normally those words don’t elicit much respect and have seemingly never put much fear into opposing teams, no matter how much the Falcons or NFL Films might have tried to boost that image over the years. In the recent past, John Facenda, a.k.a., “The Voice of God” could have returned from the dead to help the image of the Falcons when they were playoff bound, but inevitably the vision of the Falcons as some football juggernaut has always been fatally flawed. Maybe it was bad karma from the “Dirty Bird”? After all, that scarecrow of a dance never scared anybody. Neither did Deion Sanders for his physicality on the football field, but I digress.
The truth is, the undefeated Atlanta Falcons are not getting much respect because everyone is expecting that these eventual winners of the NFC South (barring some act of God) will ultimately fail. They are riding high, they are perfect, but the expectation is that they will fail.
What gives you ask? I'll tell you. Their 6-0 record might be the best in the NFL, but four of those wins have come against AFC teams; Chiefs, Broncos, Chargers and Raiders. The Falcons are enjoying a bye this week, but if they continue to rattle off the wins and get to 10-0 by beating the Eagles, Cowboys, Saints and Cardinals, not only will the football world be paying attention, but paying some much overdue respect too.
To all my Atlanta Armchair Quarterback friends out there enjoying the bye, rest easy my friends, rest easy. Your team might actually be contending for something special this year.

MAY ALEX KARRAS REST IN PEACE
No disrespect intended, but legendary Detroit Lions lineman
Alex Karras has kicked the bucket. I
never met the man, but I’m guessing he’d appreciate the sentiment instead of something that reads like a flowery obituary, one carefully prepared as his health declined. I sincerely hope that Mr. Karras accomplished all of the things on
his bucket list, and glad that he got to witness the last couple of successful
seasons by the Lions. Anyway, I assumed that he had, but also discovered (from reading one of those obituaries) that he suffered from dementia as well. In any event, he deserved to see
Detroit turn things around.
Not sure when they’re going to finally lay him to rest, but may he
rest in peace.
