ATLANTA FALCONS ARMCHAIR QUARTERBACK GIFTS
The Atlanta Falcons continue to impress and just might win that precious first playoff game, especially if their fans can have an impact. Wednesday night some of the Atlanta faithfu, no doubt led by an Atlanta Armchair Quarterback, launched a good natured attack against the Saints team bus by throwing eggs at it at the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta. Tonight the team takes on the rival New Orleans Saints, armed with the knowledge that their fans are willing to take it to the next level.
Only time will tell whether the "Eggmen", which are apparently Atlanta's answer to the "12th Man" will be a factor. However, if you're an Atlanta Armchair Quarterback or have one on your Christmas list, you might want to check out these Atlanta Falcons inspired offerings.

TERRIBLE TOWEL INSPIRED SHIRTS AND MORE
The Terrible Towel has claimed its latest victim; the Cleveland Browns marketing department. According to an article on NFL.com, the Browns have killed a promotion to hand out white flags to fans before today's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Cleveland Armchair Quarterbacks, as well as their more traditional fan base, complained that the white flags were symbolic of a surrender. The team reconsidered, and in deference to the throng of Terrible Towel waving fans expected to be in attendance, scrapped the idea. That at least is the official explanation. The truth is the Browns were simply acting out of fear of evoking any mystical, mythical, Ghost-of-Myron-Cope repercussions. Obviously this is something Ray Rice and the Baltimore Ravens ought to consider looking ahead into next week.
In any event, celebrate this latest testament to the power of the towel! There are a ton of items to choose from either at www.cafepress.com/fearthetowel or Zazzle.

STATE OF THE UNION IN A POST-ELECTION MUG
So the election is over and Barack Hussein Obama II continues on as the 44th President of the United States. The state of the Union? Pretty bleak, but admittedly showing the faintest signs of a pulse. Hopefully this is a trend that continues, and gets progressively stronger in a post-Sequestration America. However, given the divisive state of affairs in both government and the general population, I don't have a lot of faith in We The People to get our nation turned around.
This sentiment is expressed in the America in the 21st Century mug. A place where Sex, Drugs and Rock &Roll reign supreme...
...at least in Washington State and Colorado.

GRONKOWSKI HAS MONSTER GAME
The New England Patriots were victorious in their overseas game against St Louis, fleecing the Rams 45-7. TE Rob Gronkowski led the way with eight receptions for 146 yards and two touchdowns. Apparently Gronk treated the New England 'fans', or at least the Britons that attended the game decked out in Patriots garb, to a couple of trademark spikes.
On Saturday night, Gronkowski also treated the London faithful who were at the NFL's Fan Rally at historic Trafalgar Square to a spike of another sort. When he was being interviewed, the crowd urged him to "SPIKE THE MIC", to which he complied, breaking the device in the process.

HOUSTON TEXANS INSPIRED ARMCHAIR QUARTERBACK STEIN
The Houston Texans remain undefeated, hanging on to win 23-17 against the J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS last night on Monday Night Football (MNF)! Not even a little divine intervention, courtesy of Tim "Say-a-Little-Prayer-for-Me" Tebow, could deny the Texans from remaining perfect.
Arian Foster ran for 152 yards, but it was J.J. Watt who turned the lights out on Mark Sanchez and the New York JETS by batting down a pass on the final play of the game.
J.J. Watt also started a mockery of the flying-JET victory dance immediately afterward, but quickly turned this act into a somewhat feeble index finger waving, "we're number one" proclamation instead. Good thing. The rookie wouldn't want to bring any bad karma on his team, upset the football Gods, or most importantly, suffer the wrath of the Tebow.
Otherwise, good job by the Texans. Winning a tight game on the road, at night, on national TV. It's something championship caliber teams do.

CHICAGO BEARS ARMCHAIR QUARTERBACK MUG
The reportedly old and decrepit Chicago Bears defense took care of business last night, and dropped the Dallas Cowboys in a 34-18 rout on Monday Night Football (MNF).
If you're an old and decrepit armchair quarterback, or simply a fan of Da-Bears that's grown long-in-the-tooth, you might want to show some pride in the aging Chicago defense and get yourself a Chicago Armchair Quarterback mug.
Who knows? You might even consider replacing that glass where you keep your dentures with one of these gems!

BEER STEIN INSPIRED BY THE DALLAS COWBOYS
It's the end of September, week four of the NFL season, and Oktoberfest is upon us. If you're a Dallas Armchair Quarterback, there's much to celebrate. For starters, the Dallas Cowboys are 2-1 and positioned at the top of the NFC East. QB Tony Romo recently had his... Okay, nothing earth shattering on the Romo front, and so what if the Boys are tied with the Eagles and World Champion New York Giants for first place? The point is, whether you're in Munich or plain old Plano Texas, it's Oktoberfest, damnit! Time to hoist a tall frosty one to the Boys, America's Game, autumn and to life! Do it in style this year with a Dallas Armchair Quarterback stein.

C.J. SPILLER GOT HIS CUP OF COFFEE
Make no mistake, Buffalo Bills sensational RB C.J. Spiller has already gotten a lot more than his 'cup of coffee' in the NFL. Heading into week three, he's the only back with two 100-yard games and is leading the NFL in rushing yards. The three TDs has helped make him a household name, or at least one with Buffalo Armchair Quarterbacks.
Today the Bills take on the Cleveland Browns in the mistake by the lake. Not exactly the marquee game of the week, but it would be great if C.J. Spiller puts on another 100+ yard performance in front of the legendary Jim Brown. He does that, and the man will be justified putting something a lot stronger than coffee in his mug.

ESPN POWER RANKING FOR WEEK ONE
In the immortal words of Jim Morrison," I woke up this morning and I got myself a beer. .."
It's game day, week one of the NFL 2012 Season, and I've cracked open my first ice cold bottle of beer. A fine crisp pilsner from our buds in the Czech Republic. Yup, it might only be 8:00am on the east coast, but it's already 2:00 in the afternoon in Praque. To prove that I'm not a complete slob, let it be known that I'm downing my first Pilsner Urquell in this Professional Armchair Quarterback "coffee mug".

Now I don't put a lot stock in the ESPN Power Rankings, but drinking copious amounts of beer on football Sunday and checking out the rankings each week has become somewhat of a ritual for me. Check out ESPN for the official ranking and commentary, but here's the abbreviated list, minus the bull.
1. GREEN BAY PACKERS
2. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

HAS TERRELL OWENS FINISHED HIS "CUP OF COFFEE" IN SEATTLE?
Not surprisingly, several Seattle Armchair Quarterbacks have added to the rumors that Terrell Owens will not make the final 53 with the Seahawks. Truth is, he'll be lucky to be with the team that long. His poor showing in his first preseason action, going without a catch despite having been targeted five times, has convinced many that his 15-year career in the NFL is drawing to a close.
The star known for bucking the system and alienating his teammates had his proverbial "Cup-of-Coffee" with Seattle, and what a bitter brew it has been. Love him or hate him, he was great for the game, at least in entertainment value.
The Seattle Armchair Quarterback mug is great for coffee, whether it be a fine Seattle-based blend, an Irish Coffee, or some other swill.
