The San Francisco 49ers held off the Seattle Seahawks 13-6 in their division opener, on Thursday Night Football (TNF). Quarterback Alex Smith was just good enough, passing for a paltry 140 yards while Frank Gore rushed for 116 yards. The game put the 49ers in their rightful place atop the NFC West.
A win is a win, and victory is sweet. To all those skeptics, doubters and Alex Smith bashers, put that (or a piping hot latte from that world renowned Seattle based coffee company) in your mug this morning and noisily slurp it down.
