DENVER COMEBACK ONE FOR THIS RECORD BOOK

Peyton Williams Manning has been back for quite some time now, and most of us have grown accustomed to seeing him wearing the orange and blue of the Denver Broncos.  I know I'm like a lot of armchair quarterbacks that never quite got used to saying the "Los Angeles Raiders" and occaisonally mistakenly referred to the "Baltimore Colts" long after they moved.  For many of us out there, Manning in the Mile High city has also taken a bit getting used to.

Suffice to say that Peyton's legacy as an Indianapolis Colt remains, but last night he played what was probably his most memorable game as a Denver Bronco.  It was one for the record books and will leave an indelible mark on our football consciousness, fixing in our memories; "Peyton Manning, quarterback of the Denver Broncos".
In terms of the game, the Broncos were down 24-0 at the half, and although it had just as much to do with an epic collapse by the San Diego Chargers, Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos did the unthinkable or at least the inexplicable.  In the end, they embarrassed the Chargers 35-24 on Monday Night Football (MNF).  No longer clad in the blue and white, Manning threw three touchdown passes in the second half, while the defense chipped in with two touchdowns of their own.

The performance wasn't exactly spectacular, but definately one for THIS record book.
