Terrell Owens to the Bengals?

The Super Bowl awaits us this Sunday, but we are also reminded of the potential for an imminent work stoppage looming on the horizon. Thankfully the antics of Ochocinco, and his proclamation that Terrell Owens will be a Bengal next year, brought a little humor into this conversation and brightened up an otherwise unremarkable football Friday.

I am a fan of the World Champion Pittsburgh Steelers (I can still say that until Sunday night, right?), and actually would like nothing more than to see Terrell Owens teamed up with the player formerly known as Chad Johnson. It makes sense that the Bengals would do this in order to fill the vacancy created by the departure of the human formerly known as Chris Henry.

Let me explain. Owens has done an admirable job towing the line in Buffalo, but playing there is roughly analogous to being banished to Siberia. So even if he were acting up, chances are those stories would have never seen the light of day anyway. I thoroughly believe that should he find himself in Cincinnati sharing center stage with Ochocinco, we could all sit back, grab our popcorn, and enjoy the circus.
